Give It A Shot – Trader Joe’s Gran Reserva Maule Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

How can it be that Christmas 2023 is less than two weeks away? No matter how or what you celebrate (or even if you don’t), making an effort to slow down and appreciate life is a gift worth giving yourself. Of course there are those times when you will need to have a tangible gift, perhaps in the beverage realm, to take to a gathering and we are here to help you with that. A bottle of wine is almost always an appropriate gift to bring and one varietal we enjoy year round is Cabernet Sauvignon. A good Cabernet can be enjoyed on its own and also makes a good pairing with many of the heavier courses served this time of the year. Keith had been hearing a lot of positive feedback about a Cabernet featured in the holiday Fearless Flyer and that is what we will be sharing with you on this episode. This week we will be trying the Trader Joe’s Gran Reserva Maule Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020. We usually prefer Cabernets when they are the heavier-bodied style with more tannins that require extra time in the glass to open up and that is what we have been told this bottle offers. Needless to say our expectations were high as we opened this bottle.
