On the horizon…week of November 28th – December 4th 2011

Just a little reminder of what will be going on at AboutBeverages.com for the week of November 28th - December 4th 2011. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is ready to head full swing not only into the holiday season, but into some seasonal beverages. The theme for this week is two fold: New entries into two different seasonal beers and chilies. We'll get things kicked off on Tuesday with a "Give It A Shot" featuring the latest in Stone Brewing's Vertical Epic series the 11.11.11. This year it's a Belgian-style amber ale brewed with cinnamon and chilies from the Hatch Valley. Then on Thursday we will have another "Give It A Shot" featuring the Left Hand Brewing Fade to Black Volume 3. Last year it was a smoked Baltic porter and while this year they are still making a porter, they too have thrown chilies into the mix. Should be interesting to see how that flavor comes through in these two very different styles. That's the big news for now, but make sure you're following us on twitter for all of our other beverage tastings and info. Click the link here to get to our twitter page. • I cannot wait to hear what you think about Fade to Black V. 3! I haven't tried it myself yet but anxiously awaiting to hear what you two have to say :-). Anything I can bring you back from Michigan?

  • I don't have any Fade to Black Vol 1 hidden anywhere, but I definitely wish I did! Let me check with my 'contacts' and I'll see if I can find any :-)
