This show originally aired on December 16th, 2010. We here at AboutBeverages.com are nothing if not controversial. So in that spirit we are going to draw a line in the sand and say without hesitation…. We like egg nog. Now I know a lot of people like to dismiss this mysterious holiday beverage and I understand. Maybe you don’t like the pancake batter consistency. Maybe you are not a fan of the spices that are used. What I am willing to bet is that when you first had some, it was some bargain basement by the gallon egg nog. This is not a fair depiction of what egg nog can be. That’s like saying you’re not a fan of beer when all you have had is Coors. Today we will not be trying any super premium egg nog, but what we will be trying are a pair of slightly unconventional egg nogs. The first will be a non-dairy egg nog and the second will be a more rich, traditional style, but with chocolate.
