I like my Scotch aged, say for about 100 years or so….

I will do a lot to try a unique beverage be it a micro brew beer, a rare coffee varietal, or even an aged wine.  This article from the associated press about some 100 year old crates of Scotch that have been unearthed in the Antarctic may be greater lengths than I would go.  The Scotch was found in 2006 under the floor boards of a hut used during an expedition in 1909 by British polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton.  The makers of the scotch, McKinaly and Co., have asked for a sample so they may run a series of tests that could decide whether to relaunch the now-defunct Scotch.  I will offer one piece of advice, brand recognition with now-defunct 100 year old Scotch is probably not going to be great.  Click the link for the full story.
