Give It A Shot – Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley 2016

While they don’t happen every week, when we can do back-to-back podcasts that are connected by a particular theme it is something we enjoy. The thread tying these two items together may not be instantly obvious, but when you look a little closer it becomes very apparent. In our weekly discussion about the items to share this week, Andrew mentioned that he had a bourbon he wanted to share and Keith wanted to stay with the wine theme for at least another week. Fortuitous events were already in motion to tie these two topics together that we were not aware of at the time. The first of the items that we will try this week is the wine portion. The wine we are trying is the Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Knights Valley. The Platinum Reserve line is the most expensive of their private label wines at $14.99 per bottle and should compare with other wines in $30 to $40 range. Without giving away too much, the bourbon we will try next has a Cabernet component to it as well. If you watch us live on Thursday night on twitch.tv/aboutbeverages (which we highly recommend) then you already knew that. What did we think? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or join us live on Thursday nights to give us your feedback while we are live streaming on Twitch.
