How can it possibly be that we are almost through the month of October? The days are getting shorter, cooler temperatures are in the air and Halloween is just a few days away. Once again this year we have continued our tradition of trying a few pumpkin beers and while it may seem appropriate to have one for our last episode of October, we have decided to move in a different direction. Don’t be afraid as we will still be featuring a beer with a seasonal and scary theme. The beverage we will be trying on this show is the Tombstone Brewing Boothill Black Imperial Stout with coffee. Recently on a show we were discussing how it would be a good time to have a stout from Tombstone and as if by magic one appeared at our local bottle shop. There were actually two to choose from that were almost identical except for the fact that one of them was brewed with coffee. Suffice it to say, that is the one we choose. The seasonal tie in comes not only from the fact that it is an imperial stout (which are great year round but even better when there is a chill in the air) but also from the artwork which depicts a spooky graveyard scene. It is brewed with Shift Coffee and comes in at an impressive 15.5% ABV. What did we think? What do you think?
