There are very few breweries that would use the word delicious in the name of their beer, but being bold and arrogant is something Stone Brewing wears like a badge of honor. Today at the tasting table we have their Delicious IPA. Brewed with three different hops (El Dorado, Calypso and the recently named Lemondrop) this beer looks to make a statement on two fronts. First and foremost being another entry in Stone’s great lineup of hophead adored IPAs. Second they wanted to make a beer that could be enjoyed by those who have gluten intolerance. Using an enzyme created by White Labs Inc. they still brew using the usual ingredients, but are able to reduce the amount of gluten by over half of what the FDA requires to be called reduced gluten. Time to taste and find out if all the flavor still remains.
