Give It A Shot – Russian River Brewing Temptation

As we have stated many times, perhaps exhaustingly so, we have a love hate relationship with Russian River Brewing. We love the remarkable barrel aged beers they create, but we hate that they choose not to distribute to Arizona. Today is one of those "love" days when it comes to Russian River because at the tasting table we have the Temptation. It's a sour blonde ale aged in chardonnay barrels from local Sonoma County wineries. The sour imparted in this beer comes from similar critters found in the Consecration: brettanomyces, pediococcus, saccharomyces and lactobacillus. Also along for this flavor adventure is a returning guest, Eric. If you have any ideas for future episodes of "Give It A Shot" or just have a question, you can always send us an email to AboutBeverages@q.com.
