Give It A Shot – Russian River Brewing Supplication

The California Beer Train makes it's final stop today in Santa Rosa for a visit to Russian River Brewing. For many of you I don't need to go any further and the video or podcast is already being consumed as soon as I say Russian River. For the rest of you that want some more details, at the tasting table we have the Supplication. Part of their Barrel Aged Beer line, this brown ale is aged in used Pinot Noir barrels for 9-15 months. Sour cherries, brettanomyces (yeast), lactobacillus (bacteria), and pediococcus (bacteria) are also added to the barrels for additional complexity. Time to taste and see if all that time and effort has created another remarkable beer. Who are we kidding. We know this will be delicious, but please watch and enjoy anyway. If you have any ideas for future episodes of "Give It A Shot" or just have a question, you can always send us an email to AboutBeverages@q.com.
