Give It A Shot – Pumpkin Beers 2013 Part 1 – Lakefront Brewery Pumpkin Lager & New Belgium Pumpkick
It's the moment many of you have been waiting for. It's time to start our pumpkin beer shows. This year we will be trying four new beers over the next two weeks and in the end comparing them to last years winner, the Puglsey's Signature Series Smashed Pumpkin from Shipyard Brewing. Today at the tasting table we have the Lakefront Brewing Pumpkin Lager and the New Belgium Pumpkick Fall Seasonal. The Pumpkin Lager is the only one of its kind brewed in the world. The Pumpkick adds a little something extra to the usual beer and spice mixture with the addition of not only pumpkin juice, but also cranberry juice. This week is the lighter side of pumpkin beers as next week we will try a couple of pumpkin porters.
