Give It A Shot – Prairie Artisan Ales Standard Hoppy Farmhouse Ale

What's the best way to start a show about a beer brewed in Oklahoma? With some Jurassic Park movie series and DTS sound discussion of course! Who knows how it came up, but that's what happens when the liquid libations start flowing. Today at that tasting table we have the Prairie Artisan Ales Standard Hoppy Farmhouse Ale. Not unlike this website the brewery was started by two brothers who wanted to do something awesome. I'm sure that's the rallying cry of many people, but these two put their money where there mouth is and funded the brewery themselves. With their massive lineup of beers the choice of which one to try first from a new brewery can be a daunting task. Luckily Keith was able to get some sage advice once again from Mike at Olive Tree Market in San Diego and a choice was made. Using an unfamiliar New Zealand hop, Moteuka, this beer looks to have a balance of funk, spice and lime citrus. Time to taste and see if this beer leaves us feeling that Oklahoma's OK. If you have any ideas for future episodes of "Give It A Shot" or just have a question, you can always send us an email to AboutBeverages@q.com.
