Anything within the Lips of Faith Series from New Belgium Brewing always garners our interest. From the La Folie to the Le Terroir to the Pluot, there is always something unique worth giving a…. well you know. So it should come as no shock that at the tasting table today we have the Cascara Quad. Using Belgian yeast, dates and coffee cherries (cascara) this 10% ABV beer should be sweet on our palates and warm everywhere else. The question then becomes how much will the other flavors shine through or will we just get a heavy dose of syrupy sweetness. Time to put our Faith to the test and hope New Belgium wouldn’t steer us down that road.
