Give It A Shot – Modern Times Beer Mega Black House Imperial Stout
This week at About Beverages, we will be sharing not one, but two new things with you, our valued listener/viewer! The first is something we have been searching for now for several years. It’s not a beverage, but it is something we hope you will enjoy each time you listen to our podcast. Since we want to have our beverage community involved in everything we do, at various times in the past we have reached out to any musicians in our audience who may have wanted to contribute any snippets of instrumental music that we could use on our show. Well, one of our friends, and now with his musical contribution, “Friend of the Show,” Dave in Nevada, had us listen to something he and his band recorded almost 20 years ago that he felt would be perfect. After listening, we agree! This weeks podcast will be the first time we are using his music on our show. We are pretty excited about it, and in the near future, we may be giving away some of his CDs that include this song. We will have more on that later as we work out the details.
As for the beverage we trying, it is another offering from one of our new favorite breweries, Modern Times in San Diego. It is from their Special Release Series and is called Mega Black House Stout. This beer is available for a limited time and is an imperialized version of their Black House stout, which is available year round. Coffee? Beer? Together? This sounds like a challenge that we are more than happy to take on, and we did.
