Give It A Shot – Maker’s Mark Cask Strength Bourbon Batch 22-02

Over the past couple of months Keith has been tweeting links to articles written by Zach Johnston on the website UPROXX where he lists the best bourbons at certain price ranges.

We always appreciate articles that feature lists of what the author feels are the “best” of a certain topic. Often we find something we haven’t tried yet but should. Almost always, whether we agree with the author or not, it makes for great conversation and as you may know that is something we love! Over the past couple of months Keith has been tweeting links to articles written by Zach Johnston on the website UPROXX where he lists the best bourbons at certain price ranges. On January 23rd he published an article titled “The Absolute Best Bourbons Between $40-$50, Ranked” and his number one choice is what we have for this week’s show. Andrew had to wait in line for a few hours and endured a surprise sunburn, but in the end it was all worth it as he came away not only with this bottle but several other whiskey treasures. This week we will be trying the Maker’s Mark Cask Strength Bourbon Batch 22-02. It is Maker’s Mark in its purest form, bottled at barrel proof and non-chill filtered. The proof of the bottle we tried was 110.7 but it varies from batch to batch. What did we think? What do you think?
