One of the most talked about and revered beers on this website is finally back! At the tasting table today we have the Left Hand Brewing Fade to Black Volume One. The series started back in 2009 with this Foreign Export Stout and changed with every passing year just like the seasons. The offerings have also included a Smoked Baltic Porter, a Pepper Porter, a Rocky Mountain Black Ale and a Black Rye Ale. We were excited every year to try whatever the new offering might be, but it was Volume One that we always longed to have dance across our palate one more time. We have finally gotten our wish, but will our memory be better than what's before us in the glass? Time to taste and see if as Thomas Wolfe wrote, You Can't Go Home Again.
