Give It A Shot – Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition

Over the years one of our ongoing goals has been to plan farther in advance to have podcasts that tie in to holidays or certain times of the year. Often by the time we begin planning it is too late to purchase the item or items we need, record and edit the podcast and have it released in time to assist you with your shopping decisions. That is about to change, at least for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Two weeks ago (about a month before March 17th) during our live stream at twitch.tv/AboutBeverages we actually put our plan together for two podcasts. For the first we decided to revisit three Irish beers and then combine two of them to make them into a well known libation. Unfortunately as sometimes happens, that episode didn’t go at all how we had hoped and we decided to not even complete the recording. If you are curious to see what happened, you can see that recording session on our YouTube channel where we now have our entire Thursday night shows available for you to watch. The second show we planned went much better and that is what we have for you this week. In preparation for St. Patrick’s Day we will be trying the Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition. This blended whiskey is triple-distilled and has been finished in Irish craft beer-seasoned barrels. We have tried the Caskmates IPA edition on a previous podcast and enjoyed it so we are hopeful that this trend will continue. What did we think? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or join us live on Thursday nights to give us your feedback while we are live streaming on Twitch.
