What do you get when you take a stout, add copious (I love that word) amounts of chocolate and coffee, then barrel age it in a cave for 12 months? You get the KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) from Founders Brewing. Normally when something isn’t available year round we throw out the designation of seasonal. In this case that season is a little tighter than normal. It’s available in April. We know that was three months ago, but depending on your local bottle shop they may have a few still hidden behind the counter for a rainy day. When we bought ours they were only allowing one per person at $6 for a 12oz bottle. Time to taste and see if this 11% stout lives up to the “highly acclaimed” status they put on their labels.
