Give It A Shot – Flying Dog Brewing Snake Dog IPA

If you looked up the word unique in the dictionary you might find a picture of a beer from Flying Dog Brewing. Located in Frederick, Maryland the label art for their beer is done by Ralph Steadman, a longtime friend of Hunter S. Thompson who had become friends with George Stranahan the founder of Flying Dog in the late 1960s. Now that we have discussed the outside of the bottle it's time to talk about what's inside and that's what really counts. Today at the tasting table we have the Snake Dog IPA. Self declared by the brewery to be their resident "hop monster" this beer gets its character from a duo of hops; Warrior and Columbus. They may have their original roots in Colorado, but the flavor of the previous beers we have tried has always been more of an east coast style. Time to taste and see if this beer would make a good companion for our next trip to Vegas or if it only brings about fear and loathing. If you have any ideas for future episodes of "Give It A Shot" or just have a question, you can always send us an email to AboutBeverages@q.com.
