Give It A Shot – Elysian Brewing Night Owl Pumpkin Ale
As the calendar turns to September, many people begin to look forward with much anticipation to all things pumpkin. If it can be turned orange or have pumpkin pie related spices added to it, then most likely that is going to happen. We won’t bore you with a list of pumpkin products, but obviously included in that list is pumpkin beer. Here at About Beverages we have quite an extensive history with pumpkin beer as we have had a show devoted to them pretty much since the beginning. One of us enjoys them (when they are done right) and one of us feels pretty much tortured by them, with a few exceptions. Regardless of preference, it always makes for entertaining discussion and laughter will ensue. This week begins our 2018 foray into the world of pumpkin beer. The beer we are starting with is the Night Owl from Elysian Brewing. It is an ale brewed with real pumpkin as well as roasted and raw pumpkin seeds. What did we think? What do you think?
