If you are in the mood for something out of the ordinary and all you’ve had as of late are summer beers, then their is no brewery better to turn to then Dogfish Head. The off-centered ale that hits our tasting table today is their Sah’Tea. The traditional beer this is inspired by is called Sahti and was originally made in Finland. It used the usual types of grains you would expect, but then was flavored with juniper berries. We tried this style late last year in the form of the Norse Legend from Sam Adams. While that one stayed more traditional, Dogfish decided to put their unique spin on it and infuse their’s with juniper berries and chai tea. Hence the change in the spelling of the name to Sah’Tea.
