Give It A Shot – Bottle Logic Brewing Hanamachi Rice Lager
It is no secret that we love beer at About Beverages. We sometimes fall into the pattern of trying the same styles of beer, but we are aware of this growth area and are always on the lookout for something different. This particular selection enjoyed a serendipitous path to our show. A Friday afternoon conversation between Keith and a co-worker touched on the topic of rice lagers and obviously brought them into his consciousness. The following day, he was enjoying a Recursion IPA from Bottle Logic at our local Tap and Bottle as he perused the offerings chilling behind the glass doors. It was so good he inquired as to whether or not there was anything else there from Bottle Logic, and to our good fortune, there was! One of the choices was the Hanamachi Rice Lager which is what we have for this episode. As we said before, it is from Bottle Logic Brewing located in Anaheim, California. For this style, rice is added to the grain mix and they are generally referred to as crisp and refreshing with a dry finish. What did we think? What do you think?
