Give It A Shot – Blackened Whiskey Batch 112 Cask Strength

We are always excited when the world of beverages and the world of music come together to create a unique libation. About two years ago, we featured the Blackened Whiskey, Batch 88 on a podcast. Blackened is a collaborative whiskey made by the band Metallica and, at that time Master Distiller Dave Pickrell. There are different batches and each batch is a blend of whiskeys exposed to music consisting of different playlists selected by members of the band. What we will be trying for this episode is another version of Blackened, but with a few differences. Today we are trying the Blackened Whiskey Batch 112 Cask Strength. This batch features a couple of firsts: it is cask strength and it was created by Master Distiller & Blender Rob Dietrich who took over after the passing of Dave Pickrell. Rob also picked the playlist that it was exposed to using their proprietary Black Noise sonic-enhancement process.  What did we think?
