Give It A Shot – Adalina Bodegas Verdejo 2017 and 2018

We have some good news and not as good news for you this week. The not as good news is that we will only have one episode for you to enjoy. The good news is that we will actually try two beverages on that one episode as we will be comparing different vintages of the same wine. The reason we only have one show is because we did a little gaming for the last half of our time live-streaming last week and we enjoyed a Plymouth martini while we did. The martini paired well with our game play, but more importantly, we enjoyed it to toast the memory of our Uncle Joe who passed away last week. We have many wonderful memories of our parents getting together with our Uncle Joe and Aunt Donna. One of our favorites would begin in the late afternoon when it was time to make dinner. They would tell stories, laugh, prepare delicious food and beverages and enjoy every minute of their time together. Kind of like we do here on our shows and podcasts. Who knows, maybe the seeds of our podcast go back even farther than we thought. One of their beverages of choice was a martini, so it seemed most appropriate for us to honor his memory in that way. Now back to the show… This week will be trying the Adalina Spanish Verdejo wine, both the 2017 and 2018 vintages. The wine is 100% Verdejo and while we had heard good things about the 2017 vintage, the reports had been mixed on the 2018. Keith just happened to have a bottle of the 2017 in his fridge, so we thought we would take advantage of this fortuitous event and do a comparison to settle the debate once and for all. What did we think? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or join us live on Thursday nights to give us your feedback while we are live streaming on Twitch.
