The arrival of autumn also signifies the return of one of our favorite traditions here at About Beverages; the tasting of pumpkin beer.
As fate would have it, last Thursday was National Hazy IPA Day and Andrew made sure we would have something with which to celebrate.
The Run Wild IPA features a blend of five Northwest hops and has only 65 calories.
Rather than just ease back into things we decided to just jump right into the deep end as we had an evening where we featured two triple IPAs.
This seasonal offering comes in at 8.8% and is brewed with white grape skins and sweet orange peel.
Fortunately 4/20 fell on a Thursday this year so we thought that we would take advantage of this fortunate coincidence. We then decided to expand the theme and look for another beer that also had a connection to this particular day.
For this week’s show we have the other stout from a brewery that we had yet to try a dark beer from.
