Give It A Shot – Stone Brewing and Bottleworks 13th Anniversary

Stone Brewing collaborating with anybody gets our attention. When we first saw this 13th Anniversary collaboration with Bottleworks we thought, "Who is Bottleworks?" I know plenty of our listeners may be letting out a collective sigh that we haven't heard of this apparent Seattle landmark carrying over 950 beers and several rotating taps. After reading about their store only one thing needs to be said. Please build one in Arizona! Anyway, back to the beer at hand. Every year Matt Bonney and Matt “Vern” Vandenberghe seek out a brewery to make their anniversary beer. This year they partnered with Stone and decided to embrace the number 13. They attempted to make a beer that contained 13 grains, 13 hops, and hit 13% ABV. They succeeded on the first two, but only hit 11.4 % on the ABV. Does that really matter? Let's taste and find out. If you have any ideas for future episodes of "Give It A Shot" or just have a question, you can always send us an email to AboutBeverages@q.com.
