Sahti is one of the oldest and possibly least heard of beer styles to be continuously brewed. This amber ale can be traced back to the 11th century with roots in Finland. The distinct flavor of this style comes from it being filtered through juniper branches. This somewhat forgotten style is being revived by Samuel Adams after 8 long years worth of experimentation. Their interpretation called Norse Legend, attempts to maintain the juniper character through an aging process on a bed of the berries themselves.
