Give It A Shot – Saison du Buff Aged In Red Wine Barrels
The Saison du Buff collaboration was first brewed by Stone, Dogfish and Victory Brewing in 2010. This was the first and I think only beer to come out of their BUFF (Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor) alliance. It was brewed at all three breweries using the same recipe and ingredients throughout that year. Fast forward to 2012 and the power trio is at it again making another round of that original saison which featured parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. For our tasting today we have taken it to even another level. We will be sampling the Stone version of the Saison du Buff which they chose to age in red wine barrels as part of their Quingenti Millilitre series.
