Yet another beer finds its way to the tasting table that was picked up during Keith’s travels to San Francisco. All of the beers have been things we can’t find here in Arizona which adds not only a sense of excitement, but also sadness. It’s always great to be able to try new things you don’t have access to, but on the other hand when it’s delicious it can be a let down when the bottle runs dry. So begins another tale with Russian River Brewing. Today we will be tasting their Salvation Strong Dark Ale. Not as dark as some of the beers we have been having lately, but it does bring the higher ABV at 9%. Their website makes mention of it being a good compliment to heartier stews and roasts on these chillier winter nights. That’s sounds just perfect to us. Included this time in that “us” is friend of the show and returning podcast champion Eric to taste along with us.
