With the weather already warming up (unfortunately) here in Southern Arizona we decided to Shift our palates a bit and taste something more suited to warmer days. The beer of choice today is from New Belgium and is appropriately named Shift Pale Lager. A blend of the hoppiness (Target, Nelson Sauvin, Liberty, Cascade) one gets from an American pale ale and the crispness of a lager. The name comes from the celebratory beer shared at the brewery at the end of each shift. If this beer has the balance they claim, we hope that everyone working that day doesn’t have to share only one end-of-shift beer. Another bonus is that this beer comes in can. Loyal viewers know this has become a continuing search to find the ultimate one of those.
