What can the folks over at Jim Beam possibly do with their line of bourbons that hasn't been done already? How about Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve. Yes that's right. The distillers have decided to give us a nine year aged cask strength bourbon to sink our palates into. Will it be the sweet fire we're looking for or just a towering inferno to our taste buds?   • This new KC looks tasty, but a bit like yourselves I am turned off by the relative harshness of the regular KC. It's not bad, just too in-your-face for me. Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace are more my speed. I'm also itching to try Ridgemont Reserve, Elijah Craig and Dickel.
