Few things give us as much excitement as trying a new gin. Juniper week just wouldn’t be right without it. Adding to that joy today is the fact that we are trying a style of gin that to some extent had been forgotten and is now making a comeback. Old Tom Gin is the style of which we speak and this particular bottle is distilled by Hayman. The company was founded in the 1800’s by James Burrough the creator of the Beefeater Gin. The Old Tom style which dates back to the 18th century is seen as a bridge between London Dry and the Holland style or Jenever.
