With the first day of Spring just around the corner, we thought it might be a nice time to try something on the lighter side of the flavor spectrum. Thankfully Four Peaks Brewing has just such a beer available in a can with their Sunbru Kölsch Style Ale. This style originated in Cologne, Germany and tends to be very light, almost straw-like in color. Hoppiness is also as you probably have guessed very light as well. That does not mean this beer has to be lacking complexity when it come to flavor. It just tends to be more subtle and refreshing. With an ABV at a sessionable 5.1% we often think of them as good first beers of the day or the beer you enjoy while you get the grill ready for a backyard BBQ.
