The Fentimans line of botanically brewed sodas have made two appearances on our show before. We previously tried the Ginger Beer & Curiosity Cola. Both were unique and delicious, but as always our only caveat is they are on the more expensive side even for a boutique soda. Today we bring the Dandelion and Burdock to our tasting table. In this blend the two title ingredients are sweetened with pear juice and spiced with ginger and anise. For those unfamiliar, as we were until doing some research, burdock is a member of the thistle family and the taproots of young plants can be eaten as a root vegetable. Burdock was also used in Europe as a bittering agent in beer before the adoption of hops.
