Give It A Shot – Bell’s Brewery Hopslam

It is with much excitement that we bring the much sought after Hopslam from Bell's Brewing to the tasting table. A winter seasonal that just began finding its way to store shelves within the last few weeks. Most double IPAs aren't bashful when it comes to hops, but this one lets you know right away just by looking at the art on the bottle that it means business. The business of being a "biting, bitter, tongue bruiser of an ale" if back of the bottle marketing is to be believed. To accomplish this palatal feat of strength they add six different varieties of hops to the brew kettle along with a final dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops. Coming in at an even 10% ABV and around $18-$20 for a six pack, this beer is more than likely not for the faint of heart nor monetarily challenged.
