Nothing beats the satisfaction of creating something yourself and having it turn out great. Today on the show we have a Belgian Smoked Dubbel Dry Hop homebrew. In drinking many a dubbel, tripel, and quad throughout the years I always liked certain aspects of that style, but it seemed they always went in the wrong direction with their layering of sweetness. To adjust for that my friend and fellow home brewer Jason and I added peat smoked malts along with some additional hop character to balance things out. Have no fear beer style purists we didn’t leave out the classic element of dark candied syrup. I don't know if that inspired other would be home brewers out there, but watching that has me fired up to get back to work on some new brew creations. Andrew put together a great recipe and it is nice to know that we were able to execute it well enough to earn a nice rating and review!
