With the cold weather finally finding its way into the southwest we decided it was time to try a German smoked beer. These beers are made year round but anything that reminds me of a roaring fire seems to work best in winter. This is not the first of this style we have had. A little over one year ago we tried an Alaskan Smoked Porter for our Fall into Oktoberfest – Autumn Season Beers Podcast. At the time we thought it was good but very smoky. Let’s see how this one compares.
