Welcome to episode 20 of the AboutBeverages.com Podcast! With football season getting under way we have decided to make this podcast about session beer. In our knowledge segment we will discuss what makes for a good session beer and how brew masters keep the alcohol content at a lower level yet still retain flavor. Since we know very little about either of these things, we were able to get longtime listener and contributor to the site Eric Greene to sit down and have a chat with us about these topics. Eric is the Senior Brewmaster for Mr. Beer, a certified BJCP beer judge, and loves a good beer. After this discussion we were all quite thirsty, so we invited him to accompany us to the tasting room to try five session beers. The beers we try are the Gaffel Kolsch, Four Peaks 8th Street Ale, Mr. Beer Home Brew Amber Ale, Stone Brewing Levitation, and Guinness Draught.
