Give It A Shot – Brooklyn Brewery Special Effects Hoppy Non-Alcoholic Brew
We would like to start out this post by saying that we realize we are in the midst of a situation that most of us never dreamed could happen. Surreal is probably the best way to describe it. We hope that all of you are either staying healthy or on the road to recovery. We are all in this together and compassion is needed now more than ever. We are going to do everything we can to continue to provide some entertainment and beverage related distraction during these challenging times. We will still be streaming live most Thursday nights at Twitch.tv/AboutBeverages and we will continue to have content available on YouTube and in podcast form wherever you get your podcasts. For this episode we will be featuring a beer, however it is beer sans alcohol. We will be trying the Special Effects from Brooklyn Brewery. It is a beer that uses a special fermentation process that develops the flavors, aromas, and character of the beer but with none of the alcohol. Brooklyn Brewery has long been at the forefront of the craft beer movement and we recently featured their limited release Black Chocolate Stout on a podcast. This is definitely at the opposite end of the spectrum from that. What did we think? What do you think?
